Possible Saints Draftees (Defense)

Posted on: January 15, 2008 5:02 pm

In no particular order.  This is just in the first round, and only defense.

1.  FS/SS Kenny Phillips, UMiami

2.  LB Dan Connor

3.  Sedrick Ellis

I still say that they need to trade bush for More Picks

You can shore up the defence with the picks you will get fo him

Kenny Philips seems like the best option to me, but we need a LB in the worst way so I'd take Dan Connors if he's there at the #10 spot.

I think that they really beleve that they are OK at SS/FS with harper, and the other 3. The one thing i do like is the track record of the Penn State LB so conners looks good if he is there i would like to see them pick him up also

Nice response, I think Mickey Loomis has a good understanding: "Don't sign any impact players in FA, pray for a solid draft."

At least we got Colston.

I would rather see Harper in next year's starting lineup than Simoneau.  Let's draft either do 2 things with our #10 pick:

1. Draft the best MLB available, OR...

2. Trade Down for additional picks

I think teams like the Jets, Cowboys, Steelers, Ravens, Jags and Seahawks (just to name a few) might be willing.  I think our best shot is the Cowboys or the Jets (with a Vilma trade involved)
